TOKAI STATION POINT: A Convenient Point Service for JR Tokai Group Stations
TOKAI STATION POINT is a free Android app developed by Central Japan Railway Company. It is a common point service offered by the JR Tokai Group, which allows users to earn and use points at their daily commute stations, as well as other stations they visit during their travels or business trips.
The app offers several features to enhance the user experience. By simply presenting the app membership card, users can accumulate points when making purchases or using services at JR Tokai Group's station commercial facilities. For every 110 yen (tax included), users can earn 1 point. These accumulated points can then be used, with 1 point equal to 1 yen, for purchases or services at the JR Tokai Group's station commercial facilities.
Additionally, the app provides users with exclusive offers and information. Users can receive special campaign and event information related to the JR Tokai Group's station commercial facilities. They can also receive coupons that can be used at eligible facilities and stores.
Furthermore, the app allows for an expanded range of point usage through mutual exchange with EX points. By linking their EX service ID with the TOKAI STATION POINT app, users can exchange and utilize points between TOKAI STATION POINT and EX points. EX points are given to EX service members who use the Tokaido Shinkansen based on their usage records (some corporate members of EX service are excluded).
Moreover, the app integrates with the station building point cards of the JR Tokai Group, making shopping even more convenient for users.
Please note that the app requires installation and membership registration. It is available for both iOS and Android devices. The app does collect user location information in the background, but this can be adjusted in the settings. This location information is used to provide users with advantageous coupons and notifications.
